After a successful 13-year run in Tribeca, Burrito Bar and Kitchen has found a new home in Park Slope. In an area known for its eclectic mix of bars and eateries, this hippie-themed Mexican restaurant has no other choice but to fit in amid the crowd. The décor is a mixture of hippie madness and Mexican culture, with rotating star lamps and beads surrounding strategically placed sombreros. Staying true to the ambiance, the menu is full of throwback mentions to the beatnik era (Yoko Ono’s Favorite Healthy Smoothie anyone?). Enjoy Hippie Hour from 5-7pm when select drinks are half price and the bar’s flat screen airs your favorite game. For those who had too much at hippie hour, stumble in for weekend brunch to nurse that hangover with two cocktails and a healthy meal for only $14.95. And if all you’re in the mood for is a family-friendly weekend, bring your flower children. A side entrance with a ramp is only two feet away and the hostess will likely be by your side in seconds.
